Materiały do rozmieszczenia pluskwiaków różnoskrzydłych (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) wybranych obszarów Polski: Wyżyny Małopolskiej, Gór Świętokrzyskich,…
2020
The paper presents new faunistic data on the occurrence of true-bugs Heteroptera in south-eastern Poland. Localities were scattered in 25 UTM squares in five zoogeographical regions: Małopolska Upland, Świętokrzyskie Mts, Western Beskidy Mts, Eastern Beskidy Mts and Bieszczady Mts. In total we present the data concerning 129 true-bug species, including Elasmucha grisea (listed for the first time from Świętokrzyskie Mts), Heterocordylus leptocerus, Polymerus nigrita, Raglius alboacuminatus, Scolopostethus pictus, Chartoscirta cincta cincta and Physatocheila smreczynskii (first records from Małopolska Upland), Nabis flavomarginatus, N. limbatus, Peribalus strictus, Coptosoma scutellatum and S…
Stilt bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Berytidae) of Poland: check-list, distribution, bionomics
2019
W Polsce pluskwiaki różnoskrzydłe z rodziny smukleńcowatych (Berytidae) reprezentowane są przez dziewięć gatunków sklasyfikowanych w czterech rodzajach: Neides tipularius, Berytinus clavipes, B. hirticornis, B. minor, B. crassipes, B. signoreti, Gampsocoris culicinus, G. punctipes i Metatropis rufescens. Niniejsze opracowanie, poza nowymi stanowiskami, podsumowuje wszystkie dane na temat występowania przedstawicieli Berytidae na terenie naszego kraju. Dodatkowo podano podstawowe informacje dotyczące biologii wymienionych gatunków (preferencje wilgotnościowe, termiczne, troficzne oraz ilość generacji w roku). Berytinus montivagus został wyłączony z krajowej fauny, jednak jego występowanie w …
Drugie stanowisko prześwietlika platanowego Corythucha ciliata (Say, 1832) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Tingidae) na Górnym Śląsku
2022
The sycamore lace bug Corythucha ciliata (Say, 1832) has a North American origin and is one of the most abundant and widespread pests on plane trees (Platanus spp.) across the globe. It has been introduced to Europe, South America, Asia, Australia, and Africa during the last sixty years. In Poland, it has been recorded since 2009 in 28 localities distributed in four of its southern zoogeographical regions. The present paper describes the second record of this species in Upper Silesia.
Gatunki pluskwiaków różnoskrzydłych (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) z terenu Polski wykorzystywane w badaniach molekularnych – przegląd / Species of Heterop…
2020
Approximately 740 species of Heteroptera have been hitherto recorded in Poland, including 705 species of the so called “terrestrial true bugs”. Data on their distribution in our country come mainly from the faunistic and ecological research. However, Heteroptera species faunistic lists often omit locations of specimens used in various kind of molecular studies due to several reasons: (1) such data are not always included in the source paper, (2) the location is given in the description of the nucleotide sequence of the specimen only in the GenBank, (3) the differences between typical faunistic and molecular studies result in inadvertent omission of the latter. The paper presents…
Ocena możliwości potencjalnej ekspansji prześwietlika dębowego Corythucha arcuata (Say, 1832), inwazyjnego gatunku z rodziny Tingidae (Hemiptera: Het…
2020
Corythucha arcuata, the North American oak lace bug feeding on leaves of “white oaks” in its native range, was discovered in Europe in 2000 (in northern Italy). Since that time it has spread rapidly in several European countries where its population outbreaks have been observed. However, the species was not reported from Poland, so far. In this study the potential geographic distribution of Corythucha arcuata was modelled using maximum entropy (Max-Ent) in order to predict the regions of Poland where it would have found the best environmental conditions for its further spread. The results showed that the highest habitat suitability areas were located in the central-eastern parts…
Water striders (Heteroptera: Gerromorpha: Gerridae) of Romania with an update on the distribution of Gerris gibbifer and G. maculatus in southeastern…
2018
The Romanian fauna comprises two species of Aquarius Schellenberg, 1800, eight species of Gerris Fabricius, 1794 and one species of Limnoporus Stål, 1868, and we hereby update the distribution and provide insights on the phenology and ecology of all eleven species in this country. We furthermore update the distribution of the two closely related species Gerris gibbifer Schummel, 1832 and G. maculatus Tamanini, 1946 in southeastern Europe. Gerris maculatus is recorded for the first time from Hungary, Montenegro and Slovenia, and the first detailed localities from Romania and Serbia are given. All bibliographic records of G. gibbifer from Romania, Macedonia and Serbia are based on misidentifi…
The genus Trynocoris Herring, 1976 (Heteroptera: Miridae: Cylapinae) is no longer monotypic: T. costaricaensis sp. nov. from Guanacaste, north-wester…
2022
A revised diagnosis of the genus Trynocoris Herring, 1976 is presented and a new species, Trynocoris costaricaensis sp. nov., is described based on specimens collected in Costa Rica. Colour photographs of the adult and illustrations of the male genitalia are provided for the new species. Scanning electron micrographs of selected structures of the new species are also given.
Two new genera and species of the Fulviini (Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Miridae, Cylapinae) from Madagascar, with a checklist of Madagascan cylapines
2022
Two new genera, each represented by a single new species, Cassisotropis aciformis Taszakowski et al. gen. et sp. nov. and Infernotropis madagascariensis Taszakowski et al. gen. et sp. nov. are described from Madagascar. Photographs and SEM micrographs of the male and female habitus, genital structures and selected morphological structures are presented. The first record of Fulvius anthocoroides (Reuter, 1875) in Madagascar and the checklist of Madagascan cylapines are also provided.
The Cylapinae of French Guiana: an illustrated catalogue with the description of a new species (Insecta, Heteroptera, Miridae)
2023
An illustrated catalogue of Cylapinae (Insecta, Heteroptera, Miridae) from French Guiana is provided. Valdasus cerdai, n. sp. is described as new. Cylapus antennatus (Carvalho & Fontes, 1968), C. citus Bergroth, 1922, C. ruficeps Bergroth, 1922, C. tucuriensis (Carvalho, 1989) and Peltidocylapus caudatus Wolski, 2021 are recorded from French Guiana for the first time. The validity of Valdasoides Carvalho, 1989 is discussed.
